LICENSED SCHOOL AGE CHILD CARE

For Grades K-6

Offerred Before & After School at the YMCA!

Before School:  Begins at 6:00 AM

After School: 2:30-6:00 PM

The Y’s School Age Child Care (SACC) program provides a safe and nurturing place for children during after school hours. The program is designed to enhance the physical, educational and moral well-being of children; helping them to learn, grow and thrive. We provide children with supervised activities that are enjoyable and stimulating. Overall, we want children to have FUN and to develop lasting friendships.

The Y’s SACC programs run in accordance with the POSD school calendar and times.

LOCATIONS SERVED

The Y’s SACC program serves these POSD Elementary Schools: Osceola Mills, Philipsburg, and North Lincoln Elementary.

STAFF

The Y’s warm and friendly staff are carefully selected for their experience and desire to work with children. All staff are First Aid/CPR certified and have had a fingerprint, criminal record and child abuse clearance check. The staff to child ratio is 1 to 12.

ACTIVITIES

Building on the values of Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility, we offer a variety of activities including outdoor sports and games, indoor games, arts and crafts, table games, quiet/homework time, special projects, a nutritious snack, and FUN!

TRANSPORTATION

Students enrolled in SACC at the Moshannon Valley YMCA facility site will be bused to/from the POSD.

PROGRAM FEE

Before School Only $20/week
After School Only $55/week
Before & After School $67/week

$55/week (Payments can be made at the front desk or by bank draft or credit card.)

In-service Days: $15/day members; $20/day non members

The YMCA of Centre County recognizes the need to serve all members of the community, particularly those economically less advantaged, who are not able to pay the full cost of the membership or program fee.
