Before School: Begins at 6:00 AM
After School: 2:30-6:00 PM
The Y’s School Age Child Care (SACC) program provides a safe and nurturing place for children during after school hours. The program is designed to enhance the physical, educational and moral well-being of children; helping them to learn, grow and thrive. We provide children with supervised activities that are enjoyable and stimulating. Overall, we want children to have FUN and to develop lasting friendships.
The Y’s SACC programs run in accordance with the POSD school calendar and times.
The Y’s SACC program serves these POSD Elementary Schools: Osceola Mills, Philipsburg, and North Lincoln Elementary.
The Y’s warm and friendly staff are carefully selected for their experience and desire to work with children. All staff are First Aid/CPR certified and have had a fingerprint, criminal record and child abuse clearance check. The staff to child ratio is 1 to 12.
Building on the values of Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility, we offer a variety of activities including outdoor sports and games, indoor games, arts and crafts, table games, quiet/homework time, special projects, a nutritious snack, and FUN!
Students enrolled in SACC at the Moshannon Valley YMCA facility site will be bused to/from the POSD.
