• If POASD schools do not open due to snow/inclement weather, all YMCA youth classes are cancelled for the day. All adult morning classes will also be cancelled.
• If POASD schools close early due to snow/inclement weather, YMCA youth classes are cancelled for the day.
• In the event inclement weather begins after school hours or on weekends, the decision to cancel YMCA Adult/Youth classes will be the responsibility of the Department Head and approved by the Branch Director. Participants are encouraged to call the YMCA (814-342-0889), or visit the alerts page of our website.
• If POASD schools are on a delayed opening, YMCA programs/classes will be conducted as scheduled.

Child Care

• Early Learning Center and Before/ After School care will operate as scheduled unless notified by the Child Care director or if the YMCA is closed.

To check on whether a decision has been made to open the facility late, not open at all, or to close the facility early:
