Building on the values of Caring, Respect, Responsibility and Respect, we offer a variety of activities including outdoor sports and games, indoor games, arts and crafts, table games, quiet time, homework time, special projects, nutritious snacks, and fun! the programs run in accordance with the State College Area School District school calendar and times.
PURPOSE
The Y’s School Age Child Care (SACC) program provides a safe and nurturing place for children during before and after school hours. The program is designed to enhance the physical, educational and moral well-being of children; helping them to learn, grow and thrive. We provide children with supervised activities that are enjoyable and stimulating. Overall, we want children to have FUN and to develop lasting friendships.
TIMES
This program is held at the State College YMCA Monday – Friday from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
The Y’s school age child care programs run in accordance with the SCASD school calendar and times. All programs are held at the State College YMCA.

LOCATIONS BEING SERVED
The Y’s school age child care program serves these SCASD Elementary Schools:
Easterly Parkway, Corl Street, Ferguson Township (Parent should confirm bussing with school.)
Park Forest, Radio Park, Young Scholars (The Y will provide transportation pending enrollment.)

YMCA Members: $395 per month
Non-Members: $423 per month
In-service/Snow Days $42/day $53/day
Program fees are due by the 5th of each month. Direct payment options by bank draft or credit card are available. The YMCA does NOT provide drop in care. All childcare requires appropriate registration.

STAFF
The Y’s warm and friendly staff are carefully selected for their experience and desire to work with children. All staff are First Aid/CPR certified and have had a fingerprint, criminal record and child abuse clearance check. The staff to child ratio is 1 to 12.
OPEN DOORS / FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
The YMCA of Centre County recognizes the need to serve all members of the community, particularly those economically less advantaged, who are not able to pay the full cost of the membership or program fee. To apply for financial assistance ask a member service representative for an application.
