Often called physical chess, fencing is a sport that exercises both the body and the mind. This class will introduce the basic concepts of fencing épée to kids ages 10-14. Equipment, jackets, and masks will be provided. Students should wear durable athletic pants.
Class will be taught by Coach Matt. With over 20 years of fencing experience, he has trained fencers at Cornell, UVA, ASU and other fencing clubs across the country. He is excited to help a new generation learn to love the sport of fencing here at the Y!
